We were thrilled to see our very own Lead Planner, Ashley, featured once again on the Wedding Row for her own wedding, which took place last year. With a love for the holidays and Christmas music, what better day to have a wedding than on the eve of Christmas Eve?!
With an intimate ceremony at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, nestled in the quaint Ansonborough neighborhood in downtown Charleston, Ashley + Glenn said their vows in front of 125 of their closest friends and family, with Glenn’s father, the former Bishop of South Carolina, performing the ceremony.
The reception followed at the beautiful plantation house and grounds of Lowndes Grove. Although December is considered off-season, we hope to see more December weddings in our future as the weather was incredibly mild reaching 75 degrees during the day and only dipping to 60 degrees that evening - two days before Christmas!
Not wanting to be overly Christmas-themed, Ashley and Glenn opted for a mixture of blues and mixed metals for their color palette with touches of greenery and berries for a nod to the season. Classic Christmas tunes played in the background during dinner and the night ended with a fun rendition of Mariah Carey’s classic, All I Want For Christmas, song.
